Frog Baby Shower Theme

Themes Shower Boy Baby – If you’re going for a baby shower theme that is usually associated to baby showers, but not necessarily typical, then we say go for a Frog Baby Shower Theme.

Here are some reasons why we are excited about this theme:

  • It’s cute!
  • We have great froggy invitation ideas.
  • We could think of frog-related, untypical, and fun baby shower games/activities
  • Real cute and useful froggy favors.
  • Finding the right supplies will not be difficult.

Do you agree that the above reasons are important? Then great, I think we are on the same page. We just need to agree that what we consider as great are really fantastic as far as you’re concern.

Invitation

You could send some letter cut outs hanging from a string in clothesline fashion. The letter cut outs should spell frog or froggy, whatever you prefer. Make sure your party details are specified at the back of your cut outs.

Another great invitation idea is to give a chocolate cookie, any shape will do. Just make sure you icing a cute frog right on top of it, so as to complete the picture you are aiming for. Just place 5-10 “frog cookies” in a bag, and voila, you have completed one invitation. Just don’t forget to tie a note that states all your party details, or else, it will just be a gift, instead of a gift ala invitation.

Games and Activities

We love the idea of playing Finding Frog Princes. The idea of the game is to pop a lot of balloons, wherein some balloons contain a picture of a frog (a frog prince), while the other balloons contains pictures of other baby-related stuff (eg. Picture of a baby, feeding bottle, etc). The person/team who finds the most frog princes, wins the game.

Another game idea is a rendition of the popular game Pin the tail on the donkey. However, instead of a donkey, you will have a drawing of a frog, and instead of a tail, what you will have is a pacifier, which each of your guest will pin on the frog’s mouth. Everybody should be blindfolded when they play this game, of course.

Favor Ideas

We are great fans of favors/gifts that your guests will really find useful, and at the same, not too expensive.

Any bathing article (it should come in green or brown) are highly recommended as gifts/favors for your guests. That should be general enough to give you lots of gift options for your friends.

If you are one of those people who prefer giving something edible, then we highly recommend giving your guests any chocolate cakes and pastries (it’s the color of mud, but luckily, way tastier). That should satisfy most of your guests, since who could hate chocolate? If you hate the sugar, you could also give sugar-free versions, since its color won’t change, and will still be the perfect frog shower favor.

If you’ve been nodding your head while you were reading, then we think you should go for it, and throw a froggy shower. Take note that you shouldn’t be limited to the above ideas. We know that you have sufficient amount of creativeness in you, it just needs to be triggered properly, and what better time than this, when you’re about to host a shower for mom-to-be?!

Not to your taste? No worries, there are other baby shower themes available, and they are just a google away. Happy looking!

I'm eager to hear your comments...

Frog's Favorite Fizzy Punch

You will need:
* 1-10 oz. package frozen strawberries (partially thawed)
* 1-10 oz. package frozen raspberries (partially thawed)
* 1-12 oz. can frozen lime juice concentrate
* 1-32 oz. bottle of ginger ale (chilled)
* 1-32 oz. bottle of club soda (chilled)
* 1 pint vanilla ice cream

Puree fruit in a blender and combine with the lime juice concentrate. Chill for at least one hour. Pour mixture into a punch bowl, add ginger ale, club soda and scoops of vanilla ice cream.

a friend came up with the brilliant idea of a "deep freeze" shower. She asked guests to bring a cooked, freezable meal for our freezer, for us to eat after the baby arrives.

Check out a company called Coastal Classic Creations at http://www.coastalclassiccreations.com. They make the cutest soap favors, and they have a little frog in the Baby Collection.
I have seen some of the favors they do and they are just darling and reasonably priced. Actually, I checked out their baby frog, and it is baby powder scented. It says they charge $2.40 for each favor, but the little guy is so cute. It is a 2 ounce organic goat's milk soap!

I love See’s candy! I moved from CA. to WI. 5 yrs, ago and we don’t have it here! Cute prizes but the clipboards seem expensive! I’m having my 1st grandchild in Jan. and can’t wait for the shower! The diaper raffle is a good idea and it should be a BIG prize! Thanks!

I was at walmart a couple of weeks agao and they had a duck and little shorts. And at party city they had fill in the blank diaper invites. Both places great prices like 5 dollars for 12. They have some really cute ones around on the internet but be ready to pay alot more for them esp. custom printed ones. but good luck Good luck with your baby boy.

I love watching your videos that I decided to sign up and become a youtuber.. I loved the programs you did for your baby shower and I decided to do the same thing for mine. I’m still working on everything, my shower is in August and I’m due in September. So I’m super excited since this will be my first boy second child. How is everything with you and how’s Deacon doing? He’s so adorable..

Just some random ideas I had:
– Favors- little bags of gummy frogs, little plastic frog toys (find them at a party store),
– Find a rainforest sounds CD and play it throughout the shower.
– Build a tree out of colored butcher paper to designate the gift table. (Wrap brown paper around a cylinder. Leave some folds and crinkles in the paper to make it look like bark. Unfold some wire coat hangers. Cut out leaf-like shapes about 2 – 2.5 feet long (think banana trees) out of green paper and attach one leaf to the end of each wire. Stick the bare ends of the wires into the cylinder so that the wire side of the leaves are facing up and the wires are hidden. Attach a few frogs to the trunk of the tree and place on a table.
– Use banana leaves (on plates) to serve food. Use dark wood or bamboo serving dishes and utensils.
– Use ingredients that you would find in the rainforest. Bananas, mangoes, macadamia and brazil nuts, cocoa, etc.

And don't forget, just because it is a baby shower doesn't mean it has to be baby themed! You can just have a theme party where you give baby gifts to the mom-to-be.

This site has some cute frog poems/songs. ^_______^

I like this one…

I Have a Little Frog

I have a little frog
His name is Tiny Tim,
I put him in the bathtub,
To see if he could swim,
He drank up all the water,
And gobbled up the soap!
And when he tried to talk
He had a BUBBLE in his throat!

Lolz xD

This is kinds cute too. xD

I had a little jumping frog.
I trained to come and go.
We enjoyed each other's company.
and I often told her so.
She lived out in my garden,
in a clump of grass you see.
And she ate the bugs and insects.
that often bothered me.

She was busy in the early morn,
a hopping everywhere.
Of helping keep my garden clean,
of pests unwanted there.
