You could cover the gift table with a checkered cloth that looks like a picnic blanket, and you can get small picnic baskets from a local craft store for decorations – open one end and put a checkered napkin and each guest's spoon and fork in there, sticking out so they show. Our local craft store even has little teddy bears that could hold the baskets (a little piece of double sided tape on each of teddy's hands would make him look like he was holding the basket.)

Diaper Cakes are my favorite idea for a shower! Perfect centerpiece, practical gift, you can even use them for a game – have guests guess how many diapers and what surprises are hidden inside the cake! They are a great conversation piece too and everyone just crowds around them.
